One of our ministries is the NuWay Christian Recovery Home in Elberton.
It's a non-profit organization for men who are suffering from alcohol and drug addictions in Elbert and surrounding counties.
About NuWay
Nu-Way Christian Recovery Home is a non-profit, community supported men’s alcohol and drug recovery residence located just minutes from our church.
With the help and backing of our church Nu-Way was started by several members who had a passion for ministry towards those struggling with addiction. Nu-Way is designed for the post-acute (medically stable) phase of an individual’s comprehensive treatment plan with a strong emphasis on Christian principles and values.
Evidence strongly supports that newly recovering men placed in highly structured and supportive group environments with caring oversight have a significantly improved prognosis for long term recovery.
Having learned new life strategies and complimentary coping skills, the goal is for each man to lead an independent, productive and drug free life. We desire each man to realize at the deepest level that a life without alcohol and drugs is not only possible but highly desirable.
Oversight staff, having long term sobriety themselves, compassionately guide residents
towards becoming acceptable and responsible members of the community while avoiding emotional and spiritual pitfalls leading to relapse.
